HAPPY 10^th BIRTHDAY PERODUA!!!

This August, Perodua are very proud to celebrate their 10^th year in business as the exclusive importers of Malaysia’s second national car into the UK. Since the launch of their first model Nippa back in 1997^±; later followed by the Kenari mini-MPV, and then the Kelisa city car, Perodua have continued to develop the brand from strength to strength, presenting a consistent range of quality-built, intelligently designed vehicles at an affordable price. With the arrival of Myvi, the 5-door supermini, further improving the breadth of their model range, Perodua have undeniably established their reputation as the value-for-money choice for the demanding modern motorist.

In fact, Myvi has been described as a ‘quantum leap for Perodua’¹, and with all the features the car has to offer, it’s not difficult to see why. Along with the usual Perodua safety and security equipment (power-assisted steering, dual airbags, advanced engine immobiliser) Myvi is also packed full as standard with all the requirements for a safe and comfortable modern driving experience, such as air conditioning, tilt adjustable steering, front and rear electric windows and an integrated RDS radio / CD player with four speakers.      

Despite demand continuing to overtake supply since the supermini’s launch last September, Myvi is rapidly becoming Perodua’s biggest success story, with year-to-date sales for the marque representing an incredible 76%² increase on the previous year, making Perodua one of the fastest growing franchises in the motor industry. Credit for this achievement by Perodua is undoubtedly due to the addition of Myvi to their existing range.

One of the key appeals of Myvi is its value for money, at a retail price of just £7,799 OTR* for the 1.3 Sxi (manual) and £8,499 OTR* for the 1.3 Ezi (auto).  This value for money has been further enhanced since the launch period by a generous £1000 cashback offer from Perodua, meaning the price customers pay at dealerships is £6,799 OTR** for the 1.3 Sxi and £7,499 OTR** for the 1.3 Ezi. This offer was due to expire at the end of June, but Managing Director of Perodua UK, Tim Slaughter, has some great news for fans of the Malaysian brand,

The £1000 cashback offer for Myvi will therefore continue until the end of September, along with the free metallic and high gloss paint finish options. In addition to these fabulous existing Myvi deals, Perodua have also announced an enhancement to the Myvi warranty package, so confident are they in the quality and reliability of the vehicle. Cover on the supermini will therefore be extended from 3 years/36,000 miles to an impressive 3 years/60,000 miles.

Supplies of Myvi into the country over the coming months should soon be significantly improved as the factory in Malaysia has now raised production levels to reflect the current demand for Myvi in the UK.
